The ancient city of Luma is situated on a mesa above a vast, untamed world. It was rediscovered 11 years ago when the first of its modern denizens were returned to life by their Echo Crystals.

Luma's population is heavily limited by the mesa. It retains the spirit and community of a village, and the whole city is walkable along narrow, winding streets.

A key feature of Luma is its water. Rising from sources deep underground, this mineral-rich, artesian water is delicious—and the source of the many crystals that sprout like weeds throughout the mesa. It also causes plants and livestock to grow large and healthy.

Farms around the base of Luma produce some of the largest, tastiest ingredients imaginable. Water and food are popular exports. The city contains hundreds of fountains, both as decoration and drinking sources.

Luma is known for a high ratio of professional guards, averaging one guard for every ten citizens. Adventurers willing to discover what lies beyond the farmlands are encouraged to drop by the Luma Explorers Guild and join the exploration effort.
