5,290 feet above the farmlands below, the surface of Luma is a vast, ancient city of carved stone buildings and streets. For its elevation, the weather is surprisingly mild and calm.

Crossroads ✨🔌

Crystals: Red & Black, Average
The heart of Luma. Red and black crystals grow along roadways leading to every part of the city. It's a popular meeting place and home to some of the larger shops in Luma. At night, orbs illuminate the streets with a beautiful blue glow, while laughter and music drift down from residences above. ⁠The Inn of Infinite Doors is located here, in the city's central plaza.

Baskfell ✨

Crystals: Multicolor, Numerous
One of the more magical areas of the city, Baskfell is home to the ⁠Library of Lost Knowledge and features crystals in every possible color. The crystals are so numerous, they are the district's only source of illumination at night, filling the streets with colorful lights. The district also boasts a fine park, which is a popular venue for public events.

Crystal's Edge 🔌

Crystals: Orange, Dim, Sparse
Crystal's Edge might be so named due to the limits of Luma's crystals than their power. The dim, orange crystals here are not much to look at, so the area relies on electrical light, wires crisscrossing throughout the district. It is also notable for being the location of the Maw: a large, natural cave opening that leads to Luma's underground and the crystalline caverns where unintended visitors resurrect. The original residents began here. As a result, Crystal's Edge contains some of Luma's most established shops and residences.

Gardners Pass ✨

Crystals: Green, Large
Beautiful flowers and trees line the district's streets. Dotted with large, green crystals, it sits in a slight concavity in the mesa, providing additional sheltering from rains or wind. Benches hide in intricate crystal gardens, providing quiet places to sit and relax. On some nights, live music can be heard, but the typical soundtrack consists of birdsong and the lazy buzz of bees.

Mellows Peak ✨🔌

Crystals: Purple, Fencelike
A district of short, twisted roads and buildings carved directly into the surrounding stone. Purple crystals grow like fences around the base of the solid stone structures. The lights are high and dim. The City Guard is headquartered here, though they have a strong presence all across Luma, with guard posts throughout the city.
