Chuquicamata was born into a Brass Dragonborn family that had long served the Empire. When his draconic powers began to manifest in his adolescence, he was sent to the Imperial Academy for Sorcerers. While there, he met followers of the Great Mother Dragon and had a religious awakening. He then left the school and spent some time traveling to temples and ancient sites relating to the Great Mother Dragon.
