Melden, a Geomancer and Agni's adoptive father, is growing increasingly concerned. Every month, during Agni's regular checkup with Morgana, the fairy mysteriously vanishes. Melden cannot sense Agni's presence in either Eassalas or Luma. Instead, he detects a strange, distorted energy that he cannot trace. While he is aware of Xenos's distortion, he knows this energy isn't caused by him.
