A Ribbet kingdom known for training some of the most courageous and mightiest champions on the continent, the Royal Knights of Laguz. The exploits and heroics of various Knights have become tales and stories passed down by not only the Ribbets but many others across the land.
The Kingdom of Laguz is built upon massive lilypads in the center of a large marsh known as Lake Watamac. The Royal Knights of Laguz and many other Ribbets use large duck-like birds as mounts and to transport goods to and from the marsh.
The Kingdom's origins aren't well-documented, and as such there are many different tales about its founding. The one thing that is generally agreed upon is that a brave Ribbet tribe-leader, Agoro Laguz, united some of the ancient Ribbet tribes from Lake Watamac in a fight against a large and monstrous enemy that threatened to take their homelands (and homewaters), their freedom, their lives, and worse.
Some time after the Ribbets won this great battle, the Kingdom of Laguz was founded with Agoro Laguz as its first King. The brave warriors that fought alongside him were offered the position of Royal Knights of Laguz.
Regardless of which parts of these stories about the Kingdom's origins are true or simply fiction, the Ribbet people of Laguz celebrate and honor their Knights and their fight for independence once a year in a grand festival that pits the Knights against each other in various competitions testing their skills and virtue! Some of their order have even become renowned dragon slayers, receiving the highest of honors for doing so!
