A secret tool that was never meant to exist, but inevitably would, the Precision Combat Automata was created in secret by a mix of rogue artificers and inventors for Dawngate's more nervous power players.
An Assassin with no hesitation, no moral quandaries, no restrictions about what was to be removed. Able to use their precisely engineered form to enter and leave an area carefully and silently with their precise optics and carefully calibrated rifle-arm. They became such a hassle within the darker side of things that eventually even the underworld decided to make them 'illegal' for their purposes. An ever-present threat pointed at the head of every person with power towards every other. Of course that didn't stop much, but eventually the heat from even using these automata became as big a problem as a target they removed.
At no point, in anybodies understanding, was this kind of machine meant to gain the one thing it was designed never to be able to hold.
It gained a heart.
Calibre is first and foremost a Gentleman.
Do not take gentleman to mean reserved however, while wearing a slightly worn top hat and tails, and walking with the upright posture of someone who has, and will never, bend down to tie his shoelaces. Calibre remains a capable assassin, even with the litany of damaged and broken modules and functions that has reduced his capacity.
His newfound function since his discovery has been to work as an adventurer. Keen to deploy his skills and redevelop and 'rehabilitate' into a person that can stand in society.
He enjoys theatre (both common and operatic), literary pieces, poem readings (so long as they don't act crass with the lyrical structure) and most importantly clockwork. He keeps a timepiece on him that he has worked on personally on for quite some time. Painstakingly making a mechanism that keeps precision even in the most disruptive of places. Each tick of his device helps him keep focus, keep accurate, and keep precise.
Because even in his new life, he has found there is Perfection in Precision
