Hello! I go by Saga (She/Her, They/Them, prefer the former if you only use one set.)
I come from the Socialist Utopia Scandinavialands, and have been playing TTRPGs off- and online for over three decades at this point. My education is in drama and theatre, focusing on history and theory over practice, but I've had my fun on and around the stage as well. While I am in the CET time zone, I have a relatively flexible schedule. I suffer from occasional insomnia and the blessing of having friends worldwide I'd like to talk to, which means I hope that between the three I expect to run for people regardless of global placement.
I have extensive experience with a variety of TTRPGs, though my mainstays have been various WoD Games, with detours into various incarnations of Star Wars RPGs, Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, 4.0, and reluctantly 5e, Unknown Armies, 7th Sea, Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, BtVS/Angel, AFMBE... plus a variety of fun indie games. I have had the pleasure of taking part in several projects by the Sandy Pug Games Collective, and will be happy to blab about that to any who ask.
I've staffed on various RPG chat/forum sites and MUSHes, so have extensive experience with play by post both real-time and asynchronous. My experience with voice games has been limited to smaller personal games, but then, voice sessions are usually capped at 6 players regardless.
L5R-wise, I first played around 1998, then moved away from my GM and played other games (see above), then poked back at places (I staffed on Wanton Wicked, FRO's nWoD sister site) occasionally, but never really playing, until the 5e beta came around and I ended up in a 5e setting, 4e-rules game, which rekindled my love for the game and had me diving in deep.
GM Style
My intent is to run mostly PbP; I'll try to provide a mix of 3-day slow-post asynchronous scenes and more real-time paced events. I like to focus on slice of life stuff that will allow characters self-exploration and to showcase them, alongside philosophical wanderings and dilemmas; the Westmarches episodic nature provides an interesting challenge there, since I consider my usual style to be very reactive to what characters do. As such, I do want to invite players to make suggestions for the kind of scenes they'd like to see - though bear in mind that I can't guarantee a spot in any given scene.
I look forward to running for you and providing set-pieces to let your characters shine and suffer both, but ultimately be the heroes of the stories we tell. I'm relatively friendly and will always be happy to answer questions and assist where I can.
