This woman walks with the grace of any well-behaved and well-studied Crane. Her posture is usually upright, back straight, and with a quiet gait. Her gaze is observant but her demeanor is soft and approachable. The movements she makes are deliberate, though when in particularly high spirits, a little more enthusiastic despite her generally reserved nature.

Her appearance is as well-kept and clean as can be. Her aunt, a lord of a small fief in Asahina lands; Asahina Tsubame, has raised and groomed Sayuri well as her named heir. Even while wearing informal attire, or casual travel wear, Sayuri always tries to put her best foot forward. Hair brushed, bathed, makeup applied, hair done and decorated. She wears the scent of agarwood on her kimono and clothes, though she has often used a blend of nerikō that focuses on plum blossom as her favorite of the gentle, calming scents she wears.

Sayuri's features are soft. There is generally a gentle smile on her features as she looks towards the world with a hopeful gaze that comes from a place where tomorrow may just be a better version of today. Her tone rarely ever goes above normal octaves unless singing. Sayuri isn't one to raise her voice without absolute reason and she was well-trained for this. She is most often found with a fan in hand, or on her person. A beautiful white fan, that when inspected, has lovely faint gray designs.

Another thing of note is that she's often with some kind of instrument. A koto is often too big being a 13 string zither, so instead, she carries a seven string zither; a guqin, in a proper cloth case and strap.
