Ikoma no Ishikawa Michio was born a peasant in the Lion lands and grew up a full head taller than everyone else around him. This of course lead to him being pushed into sports and martial arts at an early age where he quickly developed a talent for sumai. Having bested and impressed most of the fighters he would go up against at local festivals his talents soon came to the attention of the Ishikawa vassal family of the Ikoma. Wishing to take on a prodigious new athlete and promote him as the next up and coming Lion Clan sumai champion he was formally adopted into the family and given a name. He was then sent off to train with the Ichiro in order to fully immerse himself in the finest sumai traditions of the Empire. Since his return to the City of the Rich Frog he has taken it upon himself to improve his lot in life even more... to marry up and find a spouse of sufficient rank that his low birth will no longer be a burden. In addition to that he hopes to expand from being just a professional athlete but to also found his own dojo and accrue his own stable of rikishi and hopefully pass down his championship skills to the next generations. That is if he doesnt wind up dead in a back alley brawl trying to help defend a friend in trouble that is.
