Ide Rushia, a caravan master and socialite, sent out invitations to a few selected Samurai. She wishes to enjoy a picknick and some entertainment, catch up on recent events in the city and get in touch with a few new faces.

The merchant welcomes you at the area of the picknick. Introductions will be made and maybe even gifts exchanged.

OOC Information

This series of 4 sessions is restricted to PCs who have earned an invitation during the Exchange of Gifts job.

The picknick will be split into three parts, ideally those who received an invitation will be able to participate in all parts of the event, if the player can not sign up for 1 of them, their character will be assumed to be present somewhere in the background.
If you gained an invitation, but are unable to attend to at least two of the events, please make a short scene to give the invitation to another PC.

The Rhythm of the Game

The event will unfold over 6 rounds. Each round represents 90 minutes OOC time—plenty of space to maneuver and mingle.

Seizing the Moment: Initiative

In case timing is of importance the structured time will be prepared, we’ll roll for Initiative!

• The Roll: Sentiment TN 1.
• The Score: Your total equals your Successes + Focus.
• The Flair: Don't forget to spend your Opportunities! Check your cheat sheets to see how your chosen Ring colors your social approach.

Turn order will only be enforced in situations, when it is important who is speaking first.

Your character's unique identity is your greatest weapon! If you believe a specific Advantage, Disadvantage, School Ability, or Shuji applies to your action, please check in with me before you roll. I want to see your builds shine in the spotlight!

What is your goal for the opening scene of the picknick? You can choose to:

• Whisper in Shadows: Spread a rumor and watch it grow.
• Peel Back the On: Discern the hidden qualities of a rival.
• Tarnish a Reputation: Discredit an NPC (careful—this might cost you your Honor!).
• Forge Alliances: Genuinely befriend a key NPC.

Action Required: Please try to reply within 36 hours. Your answer will directly impact the flow of the intrigue!

I will officially announce the start of each round. We move in initiative order to keep the story flowing beautifully.

• Note: If life gets in the way and you can’t take your turn during a round, just let me know! We’ll keep the tea pouring and the whispers moving.

A Note on Conflicting Interests

While this gathering isn't a battlefield for duels, the court is a place of competing loyalties! While direct Player vs. Player (PvP) combat isn't the plan, the secret goals of different Clans and families often clash. Because your objectives might put you at odds with your fellow Samurai, this scene carries the PvP Tag. Navigate these rivalries with grace—after all, a polite smile is the best armor!
