Pounce was a special child. She did not possess the wit or charm of her brothers and was often teased about her larger size, which she would not fully grow into until maturity. She gave up on learning to read; her last attempt at tutoring resulted in a broken window, many foul words, and swearing to never touch a book again. She found joy in hunting, first small mice, then eventually rats, and it wasn't long before she would seek out fights for sport, earning her first name, Pounce.
Pounce hated many things, her temper as quick as her reflexes, and most company found her unpleasant to say the least. It was hard for her to form close bonds; she chose to spend her time in solidarity, training her body or honing her skills with weaponry. With every failure to form relationships Pounce’s bitterness grew, her tongue quicker to insults, almost hoping to instigate conflict. She took on her second name, Citrus, the name coming from an insult as she was mocked and called lemon face, remarking that it fit her sour personality and round face. Pounce returned the insult shortly after calling the agitator “Pulp face” and then smashed his face into a pulp.
Citrus Pounce also took a liking to the finer things. From a distance, she admired the nobility’s fancy dress and heavenly-smelling food. Sadly, she could never afford such luxuries; she and her brothers were barely scraping by every month. However, this would not do, and seizing an opportunity Citrus Pounce decided to make herself nobility, ambushing a lesser noble who had taken a wrong turn down her alley and seizing his signet ring. Thus, gaining her third name and calling herself Lady.
Very soon after Lady Citrus Pounce was caught up in a plan of her brothers' making, taking a loan from unsavory money lenders and ditching the city with great haste, Pounce was not even able to return and collect her mouse skeleton trophies as her brothers swept her away, leaving the city and fleeing to forge a new destiny, hoping they can outrun all the trouble they have left in their wake.
