Electeus Martyr used to be a Terun and a bastard of a man. Authoritarian and cruel, he became a minor warlord in the warring reaches, an area in the far north east of the empire where there are few large settlements and little established governance. Despite this, there was some good in him - a good that was quashed and burned in the violence of his homeland, but a good nonetheless. Dying in battle defending what little he controlled, he repented for his sins.

The god Tyoth would hear his prayer, and being a great believer in redemption, saved his soul from the infernal legions at the last possible moment, and set him with a task to prove his worthiness: Kill Six Billion Demons.
