GM: ShippuZheng Yi's Diary Entry:
I started out my morning at the Tavern, as usual. I was enjoying a hearty breakfast with a little bit of a cold one to kick-start my day a little. I was sitting in a little corner when, all of a sudden, King Shoom burst into the Tavern seeking help. He looked frantic, filled with urgency. I went over to him and tried to calm him down and see if I could communicate with him. Luckily, I picked up a little bit of how WiiWii spoke with him the last time, and I tried meeping away. It was broken froglet language, but we managed to get the gist of it. He needed help with feeding his baby tadpoles!
He showed us a piece of paper that had his cute little child-like drawing of a grove with several rabbits drawn on it. Soon, I could feel the piece of paper tugging towards the East like how the other piece of paper did before. I tried to gather as many people as possible to go on this quest together because King Shoom said he needed 8 of those rabbits. Several people instantly showed interest, while others were a bit more shy to speak up about wanting to join. However, I managed to find as many people as possible, including Chromii, Zamrud, Ronia, Taldrin, Seelia and Yulrac.
As we arrived at the grove, everything seemed fine and dandy. Lusio suddenly strolled into the grove and decided to join us in this hunt. There were many beautiful, colourful trees all around, while the open areas had the rabbits roaming about. There was an owlbear as well, which made us a bit more wary. We broke off into 2 groups upon drawing lots to decide which group we were meant to go to.
My group went over to the left where the Owlbear was playing with a few rabbits. We attacked one of the rabbits and the Owlbear became angry, calling upon reinforcements with a loud shriek. Several awakened trees, giant constrictor snakes and another owlbear appeared, surrounding us.
The battle was extremely tough, and I kept missing my shots. Damn that morning beer. Luckily, though, I finally got to land some good hits later in the battle. We managed to topple the giant monsters and continued trying to catch the rabbits.
As I went further up north, I noticed a chest near the edge of the forest. Nobody else had noticed, so I quietly opened it and kept the loot. As everyone gathered the rabbits with King Shoom in the middle, I went over to the right side of the plain where I noticed a bunch of mushrooms. I thought of harvesting them to give more to Nyxara, but I quickly noticed another chest! Again, I quietly slid towards the chest, unbeknownst to the others of my discovery, and picked the lock. Inside, I found more gold pieces.
Soon, though, the group needed help carrying our spoils of war. With all my strength and might, I picked up the giant owlbear over my shoulder and carried it to the Breeding Grounds. King Shoom proudly showed off all his children to us before hurriedly shooing us off again. He then gave us our reward for helping him, which was gold pieces and a magic item. Through drawing lots, the item went over to Taldrin. In my opinion, Taldrin definitely deserved the item, as he took a lot of damage but still fought through.
While still lugging the dead owlbear on my shoulder, we made our way back to the tavern where I started harvesting the owlbear. I can foresee the amount of gold I'm going to earn from selling parts of this owlbear.

It was another lovely day at the tavern. I was enjoying my lunch with another cold pint when all of a sudden, a bunch of us got sucked into a...bottle?! It was weird, one moment I was sitting at the tavern and the next, I appeared at some unknown forest. There were giant wild boars and Ettins nearby. Pax and I went into stealth mode but before the others could try to hide, Clothilde had already went and attack one of them.
Clothilde seems familiar... I think I dreamt of her before?
Anyways, I did my best attacking quietly from the shadows like Pax while the others, Joanna, Nyxara, Ronia and Clothilde fought more openly. Just as we were almost done with all these beasts, more appeared from the East! They were two more Ettins and a goddamn huge Hill Giant.
The battle continued for quite a while. I tried to stay hidden and take advantage of it as much as I could. The others did most of the damage to the Hill Giant but I was lucky enough to land a deadly strike with my shortbow and arrow, right into its ugly ass eye. The digusting beast screamed in agony but alas it fell down with a quake.
The others managed to help take down the remaining Ettins, but not long after Ronia and Nyxara got into some kind of (lovers?) quarrel. They were going at each others' throats. The rest of us stood back and watched.
To help diffuse the situation for a moment, I tried to distract Nyxara by gifting her the mushrooms I harvested near the Toad's Lair. She mixed it with her ice cream and had a good snack but soon, she went back to fighting with Ronia.
We were suddenly sucked back through the bottle and we landed outside of the Tavern. I have had enough of the arguing and slipped away quietly. Maybe today I should go for some Bai Jiu instead.

Today I decided to take it easy with the adventuring. I went to the tavern as usual for some ice-cold beer and then headed back to my rented room. The place is quaint, big enough to not feel claustrophobic, but not enough to feel grand. I retire for the night, hoping to catch some good quality sleep.
I suddenly "woke up" and found myself in a grand hallway filled with statues. Though they aren't as magnificent as Michelangelo's David that I had the chance of seeing up close before (but couldn't steal), they are truly beautiful. In this hallway, I was joined by Lusio, Necrass, Clothilde, Abdul, whom I've never met, and Daichi, a familiar face. Lusio and Clothilde told us that we're actually stuck in a dream state and we had to go through a series of challenges to get out, and the best chance at survival was sticking together.
Unfortunately, we separated anyway as the group couldn't agree on a direction. I decided to follow Lusio because he seemed to know his way around, and he said he knew how to get us through this. Though his armour looks like it's made out of gaming consoles like the ones my children had, he did seem like a dependable person.
As we were walking through this hallway filled with broken mirrors, I accidentally glimpsed into some of the shards on the floor, and I saw some of my dreams coming true. I could tell it was a deceit of some sort, as Lusio had warned, so I ignored it and continued on. As we arrived at a dining room, we dashed on and across the table. However, as I was finding my footing, I accidentally looked into one of the paintings, and it made me go mad. Lusio pushed me through the doorway, and we ended up in a hall with a grand staircase and a stained-glass window.
There were two little girls there, but the whole group ignored them. I could feel that I wasn't in the right state of mind, but the little girls reminded me of my kids, and I felt like I needed to talk to them. All of a sudden, a giant spider with an eerie face appeared, and it was staring right at me! But the others didn't see the spider!
I couldn't help but freak out, fear completely taking over me. I wasn't sure what happened after that. I just knew someone was pulling me along as we escaped and ran back to a safe spot. I think Lusio left the group to find Abdul, who was separated, while Necrass and Daichi brought me back to the main hall and then up to the Grand Library.
I just remembered freaking out the whole time, like I'm mentally breaking. It took me a while to calm down, and by the time I did, the whole party was together along with a woman named Ultrick. I realised that there were pillars powered by something and a portal right in the middle of the library. Everyone messed around a little bit until, all of a sudden, Ultrick disappeared while standing in the middle of the portal!
We tried to figure things out. I went into a frenzy trying to destroy some of the books, but my Scimitar just went through them. I then investigated the entire library by poking at the books and scrolls with my Scimitar, making sure not to touch them with my hands. I suddenly heard a click, and Abdul, who was at the portal, went missing.
We attempted to get him back, but Daichi had to touch one of those pillars to send him back, and the magic pillars somehow didn't work anymore. We headed back to the main hallway, and Abdul decided to try looking for the little girls again. He came back later, not finding the girls but apparently meeting with some type of angelic being. I guess it really was a dream because I could only dream of meeting an angel myself.
We all suddenly had a splitting headache, and then Daichi, Abdul and Necrass disappeared. Lusio said they've woken up from this dream. I was about to panic because why didn't the two of us wake up? But Lusio revealed that he had something that could help us wake up. We closed our eyes, and I woke up in my bed.
The sun rays shone through my dusty window, slightly glaring. It must be close to noon at this point. I could still sense the fear, nerves and panic in my system. I had to wash my face just to help freshen myself up a bit-wash away the icky feeling.
I'm not sure just how real this dream was. Did I astral project somewhere? Was it just another case of lucid dreaming? Or well... it was just another nightmare, I suppose. Sigh... I really don't wish to have another dream like this again. But I do wonder if I'll meet all those new characters in real life. Are they real people, or are they just some made-up ones in my subconscious? I wonder if it'll be weird for them if I "knew" them?
I need another beer.

GM: Hai-QZheng Yi's Diary Entry:
I'm starting to like visiting the tavern, as a lot of interesting things seem to start here. Besides, they have some really good beer. Maybe not as great as actual lagers from Germany, but still great nonetheless. I was sitting in a quiet corner with Daichi, discussing our previous adventure at the Toad's Lair when I noticed a commotion near the bar. I saw Yulrac and Taldrin and a scrawny-looking knight seemingly talking about an adventure. Joanna was busy flirting with one of the workers named Penelope, on the other hand.
Daichi and I walked over to the group, interested in what adventure I might be going on today. Turns out it was a rescue mission. Mara introduced us to Excella, the person who posted this quest. Apparently, Kobolds have been seen around that area, and it seems like they might have intercepted a wagon transporting merchant goods. The merchandise didn't matter, however, the driver has gone missing too, and our priority is to rescue him. This is definitely the opposite of what I'm used to back when I was pillaging for goods. The people and quests in Dawnport are...nice... Very different from the roughness of the sea. I sense that most of them are good by nature, and most of the bad people I've encountered are not from here.
Anyways, we travelled towards the outlying road towards the West and came across a Kobold named Skeppy. He was frightened and all alone, stuck under a tree. I had a chance to practice my Draconic after a while and spoke to Skeppy along with Taldrin and Daichi. He needed our help getting out from under the tree, and after being freed, Taldrin cast some kind of spell on him, which helped calm him down and trust us.
Skeppy then let slip that it was apparently an ambush! Many Kobolds suddenly appeared, surrounding us all. We did our best to fight, as always, but I noticed that Omii was very strong despite her extreme sense of nerves and fear. She seemed so timid at the tavern, but I suppose the saying "never judge a book by its cover" is a lesson here.
Well, we were starting to win against them when Kobold reinforcements arrived. Daichi was quite injured, and Joanna and Taldrin helped to heal and protect him as much as he could. Skeppy was also surprisingly strong! His own kind attacked him a few times, but he escaped with minor scrapes. Soon enough, though, we were overpowering the Kobolds again. When the remainder saw that they were fighting a losing battle, they ran off like the cowards they are. Hmph! Pathetic.
Skeppy brought us to the Kobolds' hideout, a cave nearby. We found the kidnapped driver and also some treasure. We decided that since Skeppy was betrayed by his own kind, and he showed that he was truly good, we brought him back to Dawnport where he could start a new life.
As we returned to the guild hall, we managed to convince Penelope and Mara to give Skeppy a job. They gave Skeppy guard duty which he was very thankful for.
I'm glad things worked out great. I think as I age, empathy grows. My bloodthirsty nature is taking a step back and this...kindness(?) is becoming stronger in me. I need another drink.

GM: Kid_Zheng Yi's Diary Entry:
I was sitting at the bar of the Tavern today before heading over to the Quest Board to check out what quests I could go on. As I was approaching, I saw Zaraki Daichi talking to a mysterious man and overheard something about a map and the Froglet Grove. I remembered how important it was to keep that place hidden, and I thought maybe I should speak with Daichi about what I overheard. He was hesitant at first about sharing the information, rightly so, but after I told him that I've actually been to the Froglet Grove, he instantly poured everything out. Apparently, that suspicious guy is selling the secret location of the "Froglet Grove" to people, and the map shared showed the direction to be Southeast from here.
Cute little Fae came into the Tavern, and decided to join us on our quest, and she invited Sylph along. Soon, Y decided to come to our table and ask us to join his religion. I've never been much of a religious person. During my time at sea, I only believed in my late husband and all the men working under our leadership. Though some of them were shady characters, I could see that they put their all into pirating, and they definitely showed loyalty to my husband and me. Anyways, Y somehow joins us on our quest too.
As we journeyed to the grove marked on the map, we came across Old Man Zeke and his little grandson who only spoke in sign language. Luckily, I was able to communicate with him and found that he wanted to capture the little froglets to show off to his friends and somehow help stop the bullying. I remember when my firstborn, Zheng Yingshi, was still little, Zheng Bao would bully him as well. I comforted the kid, and we also taught him not to capture the froglets.
We investigated the area. I accidentally got high on some wild mushrooms while trying to pick them for Nyxara. Luckily, though, Y helped remove me from my hallucination with a spell. He also found a boat that could ferry us towards the opening behind the waterfall.
That's when we found the Toad's Lair. The Great Toad Sage was angry that more and more people had been coming to the lair and wanted to kill us initially. However, Helene, the wonderfully intelligent lady that she is, made a pact to get rid of the rumours in exchange for letting us live. Thank "God" (I guess) because I was not ready to die there.
Once we left the lair and returned to the grove, the suspicious man from earlier appeared with a group of his bandit lackeys, trying to attack us. We fought back as much as we could, but Y was severely injured, Helene wasn't exactly a fighter, and those bandits had a hold of Old Man Zeke and his grandson. The Great Toad Sage then appeared and helped us fend off those bad guys.
We managed to get a good amount of loot from those useless bandits and kept our promise to the Great Toad Sage about squashing those rumours of their location. I'm glad that we made more new friends; although I still find frogs and toads very icky. Who knows... maybe one day I will finally get over my dislike of them.

After the victory with the cake-baking quest yesterday, I felt like I managed to get along well with some of the people, so I thought that I should check out the quest board again and saw another fairly simple-looking quest about fighting some monsters. I felt like killing something now.
Outside the tavern, a bunch of us gathered. Some of them were familiar faces such as Seelia, Yulrac and Theresa, while others were new, such as WiiWii, Sylph and cute little Fae. I really like that adorable little fox; it reminded me of my children when they were younger and more innocent.
Anyways, the piece of paper, which was the quest, suddenly appeared in the middle of everyone. I picked it up, and it tugged me towards a cave. I gathered everyone with Fae on one hand, and we went through the cave and came out to a beautiful body of water with a nice waterfall. However, the area was surrounded by frogs, something that always scared me a little. We didn't really have frogs out in the sea after all. A small and very fast frog with a mushroom cap came towards us in a flash, and he pointed at the paper in my hands.
Thankfully, WiiWii could speak froglet and said that the frog was King Shoom, the leader of the froglets, and he needed our help fighting goblins who have been attacking them. He offered us gold as a rewards, much to my pleasure.
Soon, many goblins ambushed us and we had to engage in a difficult battle. I ended up quite hurt, and Fae missed many, many, many spell casts. Poor Fae had to go jump into the lake to cleanse herself through the mandi bunga ritual. Soon, the battle ended and we received our rewards from King Shoom. We also looted the dead goblins and I maged to get a Scimitar and two extra daggers for my inventory.
It has been fun killing today, despite being quite injured. I look forward to meeting with more people in Dawnport.

After running into the group of people at the Northern Mines a few days ago, I decided that it's time I made myself visible at Dawnport. I thought that the best way to meet more people was to take on a simple task and work with people. I was quietly walking up to the Quest Board in the town when I saw a bunch of people taking up a simple quest looking for cake ingredients. They seemed like a mixed bunch, but I didn't sense any trouble from them, so I decided to join this little ingredient hunt.
I curtly introduced myself and asked if I could join, they mostly didn't notice, except for Abdul Al Hakimi, who was kind enough to agree to it. Emily shows up not long after, though some of them made her cry with some complex adult concepts such as parents hating their children. It reminded me of my adopted son, Zhang Bao, whom I've left to take care of my armada. Growing up at sea, we didn't have much time for loving relationships. We were direct, and everyone respected my late husband and my leadership. There were moments when Zhang Bao made things difficult for my late husband and me, and there was some feeling of hatred. Regardless, we still loved him throughout it all. Complex indeed.
Anyways, we soon split up in search of the ingredients around the market. At first, Emily was following me, but once I found the candies, I realised she had gone missing. I ran into Yulrac, and we both tried searching for her for a moment. As she is indeed a tiny little girl, it was difficult to find her, but the town is safe enough that we didn't have to worry too much. Yulrac and I then decided to look for the chickens. After getting some direction, we were pointed to the chicken seller. Luckily enough, he was selling them for very cheap, only 15 silvers. Yulrac was kind enough to purchase the chickens, and then we decided to meet everyone back at the Quest Board.
Once everyone was back, we heard that the party would be held at the tavern's party room. Upon entering, I noticed a weird star in a circle drawn on the floor in the middle of the room. Yulrac then kidnapped a stranger and intimidated him into baking the cake for us. Once that was done, Little Emily took the chickens from me, stood in the middle of the circle and star, sliced the chickens by the neck and summoned some...thing...
I was disturbed and moved towards the edge of the room, closest to the exit in case I needed to dash out. But what appeared, or rather, who appeared, turned out to be Emily's mother, Scarlet. Emily gleefully introduced her mother to all of us. She is very beautiful; I cannot lie. As soon as the initial shock had left everyone's system, we had the birthday party for Scarlet and enjoyed the day.
It's nice getting to know everyone; I definitely feel like Dawnport is a good place for me to stay for a while. I noticed another quest on the quest board earlier about some frogs; I'll try joining that tomorrow and see how things go. I hope to meet new faces, but I would like to meet some of those kind people from the Northern Mines too.

GM: Kid_Zheng Yi's Diary Entry:
I wandered into a dark mining cave after hearing rumours about finding some special ores in here. I wandered along the darkness with nothing but a torch and wandered far enough to find a person facing some Shadow monsters. Usually, I would have just snuck away, keeping myself hidden, but my instinct told me to help this person. Soon, I engaged in battle with these Shadow beings. I went head on alongside the person named Lark to face those 3 monsters. Alas, the cavalry arrived and we fought together until those monsters dropped dead.
Upon further exploration, we found Black ores and each mined them. Though I was a random guy in the group, they allowed me to take the Black ore for aiding. Soon, one of them, Joanna, found Mitral ores! I wanted them for myself but knew I was outnumbered if I were to try anything. I also felt that it was in my best interest to be on their good side for now, so I didn't try anything.
We continued searching the mines for more ores, until I wandered off alone into a section and found myself within 30 feet of another Shadow monster. I tried to engage in a close-up attack but found myself surrounded by 3 more of those horrid beings. I took a step back but they caught up quickly and laid an attack on me. Thankfully, after shouting Marco Polo for a bit, back up came and we as a group crushed all those monsters together.
Just behind those monsters were a bunch of gold ores. Again, I didn't try to take any because I had a feeling I needed to keep a good relationship with this group of people.
We went this shop owned by The Magician and we sold those ores to him. With a bit of persuasion, I sweet-talked the shopkeeper into giving us a better price for the ores.
I decided to keep my identity hidden for now where they only know me as Random Guy, but I have a feeling I will cross paths with them again in the near future.
