Tertius was born in the Voltaris clan of the Jagged Peaks. The clan itself was not advanced in terms of technology, but their power came from their innate prowess in wielding magic via the use of music and song.
But the peace did not exist for long, since clans grew jealous of one another and got into a war; the Sendaris, Nestoris, Voltaris, and Mendoris fighting one another, which decimated the Voltaris, wiping them out, if not for Tertius. Now, as the sole survivor and leader of the Voltaris, Tertius escaped to the mainland looking for power and a place to being the Voltaris clan anew.
Tertius is not the kind to speak a lot, but he does converse wherever needed. His opinions are shown more via his actions, and not through words, which he believes are hollow in nature.
