### Backstory

Hugo Beaufore is a human born within the slums of high-spire. His mother had passed during child-birth and his father was a down on his luck tinkerer. Growing up, his father tried his best to maintain the family of two with his engineering ability. Hugo’s father tried to keep him away from the terror of the slums but as Hugo grew older it was harder to keep him away. Hugo would sneak out, steal, and vandalize as rebellious teens do. This would come to a head after his father found out. As a way to make him stay on the straight and narrow, Hugo’s father took him under his wing as an apprentice. Hugo did this for quite sometime until the adventurer guild opened its doors. With his fathers blessing, he would make his way to create a name for himself and leave the slums behind.

### Personality

Hugo is not as cocky as he was in his older teens and early 20’s but it’s still there. He speaks like an old soul and likes to use proverbs similar to his father. He is very closed off at first and isn’t easy to trusting folks but has a soft spot for those who also come from the slums.
