Abandoned, taken in by the Nobles(more in description.), growing up in the Slums as a thief.
Landon Idan, was a boy since a baby born in the Slums. As a kid, he would be disowned for being, "to expensive". On a stormy day as he crawled through the back alleys at the age of 4, he would be found by a group of nobles traveling through the alley. He would remember... Maybe 4 paladins guarding this family? He would become a servant to this family, in trade he would receive a home. Landon would be granted with such luxuries, but only one problem would remain. One of the sons of the family would hate him, calling him a freeloader. Even at a similar ages, Hindley would purposely make him frustrated, to increase the chances of having him kicked out.
One daughter, when Landon first saw would me mesmerized almost. A girl around his age who, didn't seem to hate his presence or his past-status. Didn't judge him for what he wore or how he acted. She was, perfect. They would play together, in the fields where her parents told her not to be, as they rolled in grass, letting themselves get all dirty. Even with the constant mental torture of the rest of the family, he could live with this if it meant seeing her tomorrow. Seeing Catherine.
Of course, it was to good of a dream to be true. A noble Family taking a poor boy from the slums? One day, they would walk past rows of flowers with thorns, as in the distance they would hear barking. A dog that would be free from its leash as it ran towards them, leaving Catherine falling backwards into a pile of flowers with thorns on them as she winces in pain.
Landon, carrying her up would clean up the blood on her as she laughs. It was fun, not being encaged by such rules of being noble. At the worst time, Hindley would watch by the mirror and see this, as he told his father, leaving them enraged. At night, when Catherine was asleep Landon would be woken up and thrown out the bed.
"YOU! I bring you up from the slums and this is how you repay me? Hurting my daughter in such way? Do you really think I can tolerate this."
"N-no sir..."
"I DON'T CARE. Who's fault it was. Landon. You are leaving from this home. Leave now. No one wants you here."
Landon would be in fear almost, as he looked over to see Hindley, snickering behind the door watching him leave. He would leave a note telling Catherine, he would leave just for a bit. And he would come back to her again.
As he ran out the door running back into the slums. He was 14, as he spent the rest of his time, being agile, becoming a criminal who was never caught. Wasting off bars, being cocky and what seemed, crazy. He could, never bear to see her again at this status. Yet he loved her. He truly did.
Catherine would look out the windowsill, still waiting for him to return. Even if it takes 12 years. "He shall never know I love him: and that, not because he’s handsome, but because he’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made out of, his and mine are the same."
