Born to the Tenebralis Lineage, Thessalyne is a natural born magic user with an innately razor sharp intellect. A fact she at first just chocked up to the fact that most of the Tenebralis were born with one gift or another. This is the lie that is fed to all those in her family, that their power comes from hard work and dedication - and while that may still be true, the origin of their might comes from a much darker side.
Thousands of years ago Victor Garumaia Tenebralis struck a deal with the cyclone. He would feed it the essence of his family, and in return it would grant him power untold. And so it would be, every twenty years the family would bear at least four children, and only one would be allowed to live, the rest dying shortly after birth. That 'luck' befell on Thessalyne, having beaten the odds 7-to-1. The cyclone first touched her mind when she was but 40 years of age, and it left her ruined. Her strength was destroyed, as was her eyesight to a degree - but in return the cyclone had enlightened her beyond the norm for any wizard her age. Magic and spellcraft came as easy to her as breathing, and she quickly became a prominent mage.
It's only when she became of age that the secrets of the Tenebralis were shared with her. It tore her apart. To think that her life costed 6 innocent victims, it destroyed her utterly. She decided it was time to set out, see the realms, get her mind in order. Find out for herself on how to proceed with her life, whether to deny or accept her family's curse.
Personality;
Where most of the Tenebralis are known for being steel-tempered with the resolve of ten men and the ferocity to match, Thessalyne is instead a kind and soft soul. She enjoys the simpler things in life and sees the good in most people. She does however come over as a nerd at times, being easily obsessed over old tomes and books, ESPECIALLY fairy tales.
