Kashiri is a degenerate gambler who was cursed by a fey lord to always indicate that he's lying based on truth spells.

Kashiri found out about this when he was scapegoated into a murder charge, and put on death row. And so he serves his sentence: death by adventuring. It won't stop him from gambling with everything he's got.
