Finnian claims he grew up bouncing between roadside inns, merchant caravans, and whatever stable would let him sleep in the loft. He learned to ride before he learned to read, picked up fencing from people who probably shouldn't have been teaching children and then discovered fairly early that locked doors were easier than to pick than he thought.
Since then, he's made a living as a wandering treasure hunter, occasional courier and card player.
