Lucien Deveraux was born among a travelling theatre troupe of actors, musicians, swindlers, and storytellers. Growing up behind stage curtains taught them one important lesson: people see what they want to see.

Fascinated by stories and the emotions they inspire, Lucien joined the College of Creation, learning magic that turns music, art, and imagination into reality itself.

Now Lucien drifts between cities and identities — courtier one month, sailor the next, wandering bard in between — infiltrating every walk of life simply to experience new stories firsthand.

They claim they’re searching for “the perfect story.”

In truth, Lucien is hunting fragments of an ancient unfinished song said to hold the power to create something entirely new in the world.
