Alignment and Personality: Chaotic Good. Ali has a strong moral compass and big 'don't tell me what to do' energy. She would rather die than admit she was wrong, but she's far more likely to play everything off as a game. She values her independence above all else but wishes her ex-husband had come travelling with her like he promised. She is way in over her head already and, much as she'll hate herself for it, will run away the second she feels threatened.

Ali is from a small town, the daughter of a much gossiped about bard and his wife, a dressmaker. Her father died adventuring when she was young and she always wanted to take up his mantle. She married her childhood sweetheart, Eadgar Wainwright, and they promised to adventure together. Ten years ago, without telling Ali, Eadgar joined a military recruitment drive, even though she is a pacifist who was specifically opposing that war, expecting her to stay home with his mother and look after their home. Ali left home shortly after he did, not waiting to talk to him, as he didn't. She assumes he has annulled their marriage.
