The party ventured to the edge of the forest at the north of Crater Coast to find suitable lumber for a new ship to replace the one lost last week. They camped at the edge, two players met an NPC Wood Elf named Xem, who gave advice on where to find suitable trees. After the party ventured there, they started to cut down some trees when a Halfling tried to silently get the party to follow. After Mei made some noise, someone screamed for help far off in the forest. Sur Darr, Zoa, and Domo went to investigate whilst the others followed the Halfling.

The first group found a fallen branch on a person, impaling them. Domo saw something odd, whilst the others uncovered the victim, finding they were deceased for at least 5 days. The scream for help came from somewhere else. They soon retreated.

The Halfling group got to a small sheltered area, and unfortunately failed to persuade the Halfling to join them out of the forest, which led to the Halfling being likely killed by something.

They party regrouped, and soon encountered the source of the danger. A metal, cloth, and wood monster that is known to Tower Haven. The Fear Demon has returned. The Party fled without the gathered wood or the horses and cart.
