They then encountered Vhalyra, a Death Giant who has a facination with preserving the anomalies and malformed creatures of nature. such creatures in her collection were a six eyed Owlbear, a mutated Troll, a blink fox, and a skeletal pseudodragon. They also collect odd magic items, such as a strange blade that tries to get a wielder by speaking in abyssal.

She wanted their help in getting a creature for her collection, a mutated, malformed Chimera, in exchange for information on Professor Goots‘ location and some items and coin. They succeeded and found that Professor Goots is in the Deep Roads, having used an old cave system.
