During the Trailing War, many of the tribes that made up the Coalition remained determined to continue their conquest against Mereta. With Greater Mereta now acting as a buffer, they remained united the longest even after their leaders were massacred. It did not take long for Garlo the Blazing to destroy the remaining resistance, leaving the tribes that eventually united to become Sonico a weakened and demilitarised kingdom.

Fortunately, military power quickly become irrelevant to the kingdoms success. Due to its position next to the calm Malas sea and closeness to the continents to the east and south, it became a trading middleman between some of the most powerful kingdoms. The constant flow of adventurers passing through also helps eliminate the monstrous threats that occassionally emerge as well.

Sonico is now governed by an elected leader once every 3 years.
