A former soldier in a scout/border brigade for a High Priestess of Queen Lolth's, Azrael grew up hard in the wilds on the outskirts of Menzoberanzzan. Slaying denizens of the Underdark and encroaching Duergar, the brigades numbers slowly dwindled.

After a fierce battle with a group of hook horrors, Azrael's closest comrade Benjin died in his arms, writhing in pain. Heavily frustrated by the lack of response to his prayer to the spider queen, Azrael has decided to abandon his duties.

Knowing nothing but the thrill of the hunt amongst others, the lack of a pack has left him shaken. Knowing that returning to the city will certainly mean death, the decision is clear to leave the Underdark and seek the hunt, and camaraderie elsewhere.
