Castor Haraldsson was born in Cyrabonne, a cold mountain region filled with tall peaks, deep cliffs, and busy mines. His father was a kind priest who taught him to be honest, patient, and always help people in need.

Life was peaceful, but money became a problem. The church could not support them anymore, so Castor's father told him to work as a farmer for a while until things became better. Soon after, his father left to do some important work somewhere else. He never explained where he was going, and Castor respected his choice. If his father thought it was important, then that was enough for him.

Castor was welcomed by the Robinette family, a family of four who owned a small farm. They treated him like one of their own. The work was hard, especially in Cyrabonne's cold weather, but the Robinettes were kind, and Castor slowly felt at home.

There was, however, one person who often visited the farm.

Her name was Raya.

She looked rich, wore expensive clothes, and always acted proud. She often looked down on the Robinette family and made rude comments about their simple life. Castor never liked her attitude, but he stayed polite because that was how his father raised him.

One winter day, Raya suddenly became very sick after eating poisonous mountain mushrooms by mistake while traveling through the hills. Nobody nearby knew how to help her. Luckily, Castor remembered a lesson from his father about healing herbs. He quickly found the right plants, made a simple medicine, and saved her life.

From that day on, Raya completely changed whenever she was around Castor. She admired his kindness and slowly fell in love with him.

Castor, however, only saw her as someone he had helped. He never returned her feelings.

As time passed, the Robinette family also grew to care about Castor. They knew he worked hard, never complained, and always helped everyone on the farm.

One evening, they made him an unexpected offer.

If Castor wished, he could marry their daughter, Finka Robinette. They believed he was a good man, and by becoming part of the family, he would never have to worry about money again.
