Roger is interested in learning about others, growing up in secluded cave systems with his father, Roger had never had much opportunity for socializing. Instead Roger often spent his time exploring caves and finding the creatures and plants that inhabited them. Roger found friends in these plants, but never neared Underhaven, it was his father's wishes to have them keep to theirselves and Roger listened until his father died by the mist, when Roger knew he couldn't live all alone in the secluded cave systems that they inhabited his whole life. After his father's passing he started his journeys to explore the rest of the world he could, Underhaven. His father was frayed by the mist and Roger takes special interest in learning more about it and how it came to be.

Portia Wenic was one of the few names besides his father that Roger knew. Though they made most of our own clothing, the few valuable pieces would need work from time to time. When that happened Roger's father made trips to see Portia Wenic, she patched it up and would often add her signature floral patterns into the repairs, which as a fellow flower lover, Roger strongly appreciated.

Ilmra Uoavae was who his father sought for when their health needs couldn't be met by nature alone. Ilmra offered medical advice and pointed them in the right direction when they weren't sure what caused an illness. Ilmra was who Roger sought when his father died. He was frayed and she took him into her care to preform an autopsy and sent Roger to Irena Lornel after to over see his burial rights.
