Backstory

Vermilion was born into the prestigious Tinge family,a family renowned for hunting fiends and monsters. From a young age, he idolized the heroic tales of his relatives and dreamed of forging his own legacy.

When his magical abilities emerged, he embraced the family’s brutal training without hesitation. However, when his older sibling Veridis failed to show similar power, their parents became cruel—neglecting and abusing them. Vermilion openly defied them to protect his sibling, earning harsher punishment in return.

On their thirteenth birthday, Vermilion received a family blade named Mirage, while Veridis was given an ancestral pendant. That same night, demons attacked their home. Their parents were killed, and the siblings fled.

After months of wandering, they found refuge with their aunt, Vanessa the Resilient. Under her care, they finally experienced a loving home and lived in peace for over a decade.

That peace ended when the manor was attacked again—this time by a powerful archdemoness. vannessas homw was destroyed, the siblings were separated, and Vanessa was killed protecting Vermilion. Her final words—“Protect your brother… and be a hero”—became his guiding purpose.

Vermilion survived, but an powerful archdemon cursed him—twisting his body into a demonic form. Now resembling the very creatures he was raised to hunt, he became an outcast, hunted by both demons and demon hunters alike.

After years on the run, he was taken in by Father Kori, a former soldier turned priest. Under Kori’s guidance, Vermilion trained as a paladin and found a new path.
