The first time anyone in Underhaven saw Éloï, he was being dragged from the surface by a scout. He was in terrible shape; the mist’s corruption had already begun to take hold of his body, spreading across his skin.

He spent many weeks in the hospital hovering near death. Yet, something deep inside kept him breathing, a burning feeling that he had unfinished business he simply could not die without resolving.

When he finally woke up, his mind was a total blank slate, as if the corruption had completely erased his memories. Despite having no past, his instincts immediately drove him to help others, willingly getting his hands dirty so that the people around him wouldn't have to. He carved out a life in Underhaven this way, surviving on favors and whatever coin he could earn by helping the less fortunate.

But a quiet voice inside his head refuses to be silenced. He feels a constant itch to return to the surface, driven by a need to find out where his lost memories went, and why a quiet rage still flows through his veins.
