Appearance:
Marrow is small and pale green, with long, gossamer dragonfly-like wings. His eyes are red, his nose long, and his features pointy. His teeth are sharp, but his diet consists mainly of fruit (although he can eat meat, too).
Public Character Knowledge:
Loves things that are shiny, colorful, or unique. Generally lazy and apathetic. Finds other's misfortune entertaining. Vain, and can fall victim to flattery.
Marrow, after being separated from his pixie swarm by a particularly bad thunderstorm, settled down to bide his time until he found them again. Due to the extraordinarily long lifespan of fairies, he is not bothered by this separation and could easily spend years distracted by the his new fancy— the craftsman trade. His dream? To learn to forge beautiful, enchanted, shiny weapons. He also enjoys collecting things and delighting in the misfortune of his neighbors (although aside from the occasional harmless prank, he is not the one causing the misfortune. He is not cruel or malicious.)
Marrow does not understand shorter lived races, and finds most of the other longer lived races to be distasteful. He has a love-hate relationship with other fairies, finding them just to be clumsier versions of pixies, but also having more in common with them than other races. He has a soft spot for Pyaro, as he admires their feathers, and a special dislike for any race he percieves as potentially wanting to eat him (Skeevengers, Grung, Fibians, Grippli, Jerbeen, and Whiskens).
Marrow grew up in a pixie swarm in a far-away swamp, surrounded by his many brothers and sisters. Although he knew his mother, he did not know his father, as is customary for his. Adult pixies worked together to raise the pixie spawn together. It is a very warm and carefree environment, a utopian-like society where each individual is free to live their life in leisure. The downside is that small pixies are especially vulnerable to predation. Given their short attention spans and penchant for seeking out entertainment, they often get lost and go missing. This is considered normal and expected. Not much thought or worry is given to lost pixies, who eventually return or don't. Those who may have joined other swarms or flocks, or started their own, or simply perished.
The longer Marrow is away from his home and the more he learns about society, the less urgent returning home seems. He continues to grow his collections and hone his skills and find excitement in those around him.
