Public Character Knowledge:
Finn is a middle-aged halfling man with sunkissed skin, a warm smile, sharp wit, and a quietly shattered heart. On the surface, he's the life of any tavern. Underneath his facade he hides a grief too great to share.
Personality - Finn is friendly and effervescent. He collects friends and family like other adventurers may collect coin. Despite his diminutive stature, Finn is very large. He laughs loudly, tips generously, and remembers the names of any person he meets. He can read the room or disappear into the crowd. He is relentlessly kind, but his kindness masks a deep grief he cannot escape.
Background - Finn was the youngest of seven halfling children. Long ago, the family grew apples and barley, but that time is no more. After his grandparents descended underground, they plied their trade with roots, herbs, and mushrooms. And so it was, Finn was instructed in the family business. Finn learned to maintain the land even in the worst of conditions, but he also learned that farming can be lonely.
Deciding that he could do more good elsewhere, Finn sought employment as garden steward for the community. Under the guidance of his boss, F4RM3R, he helped the people of Underhaven maintain what little soil they had and dealt with crises as they came. It's at this point that his beloved, Zoera, came into his life.
Zoera was sickly and frail her entire life. No healer could diagnose her condition and no cleric could cure her curse. She knew their time together would be limited, but no one could guess how limited it would be. After only a few short years of marriage, Zoera succumbed to her illness.
Distraught with grief, Finn sought out ancient and primordial magic. He bound himself to a genie, Tabula, on the condition that it one day empower him resurrect his lost love.
