Born into a less than affluent family, this Eladrin worked her way through childhood today is she spent running from forge to forge delivering items, goods and messages. Once she was possibly curious about procuring a dagger or a sword. But after the same day in day out... She was bored.
Sparks flew but they would no longer fill her with delight, she appreciated the company of the smiths. She knew that their art was wonderful. But it didn't envoke the same feeling in herself, but what did was magic. A simple cantrip would fill her with glee, she knew the precision of making chain but what she marvelled at was the small little motions that could create a shield with a flick of the wrist, or summon birds not a simple party trick.
The issue was wizardry was expensive, she could likely tap into the magic that was within her but she wanted control, to prove she was more than just a street urchin, so she studied she put her nose into a book and read and read and read until her mind was filled with spell formulae and arcane truths.
What she hated she also found in books stories of the Fey her ancestors the ones her parents spoke about so easily and effortlessly twisting what they called magic so powerfully. It infuriated her, she envied it, she wished to challenge it.
Most days you will find her in a corner of the town sat in her robes reading her book. Preparing for the day. Muttering to herself about the next spell she will write and what new truths she csn learn.
