It's not uncommon for Saruk to pop up in the strangest places as he follows his paranoid instincts. He's mostly harmless, so is often ignored. He's also seen frequently in the company of a pixie named Penny Bun.

After his parents vanished into the mists with the rest of their scouting party, Saruk spent most of his childhood hiding from unseen threats. He vowed to find out the truth of what really happened and made it his life's effort to unravel the mysteries surrounding the mist and Underhaven.
Sadly, he has little way of validating most of his theories as few other people pay much attention. Until he met Penny Bun, he spent most of his time stalking random figures and making notes on the oddest details.
These days, he's still very much the paranoid observer, but he's gotten a lot better at being less obtrusive. Saruk is hard to predict most of the time because it's hard to know what path his obsessions have sent him careening down, but in general he's a good person to have on your side. It's hard to gain his trust, even if he acts like you've been friends forever, but if you can he's a firm ally.
