Public Character Knowledge:
Okino to some most likely known to select healers in town as a problem 'child'. Having grown up always in pain from the genetic structure she was gifted in birth, now always finding ways to lessen their effects.
Born into a low family in society, her parents were nice people, and once connected to a fallen scout party by the name of [Scaled Edge]. The mother, a Simic hybrid once a 'pureblood' Yaun-ti, was a swordswoman, and the father, a 'pureblood' Yaun-ti known to a select few as a 'gifted' Archer.
During the long-term quest/work, Okino was left in the hands of a nearby family friend, Windsor Vicaro. This time was normally used to play around the building, or be 'forced' to listen to the newest piece being worked on by the scholarly old man, and or even taught minor lessons on reading and writing.
Her life was simple, filled with ignorance of how dangerous her parents' work truly was. But all things come to degrade with time. Okino, with every year that began, grew odd deformities from odd scaling to marks that line her body, even elongating a bone that turned with time into a makeshift tail that resembles a gator's own. Her mother had shown worry as these slowly came to view, with it came the pain not of growth but of the anomalies going through her system from her mother's 'bloodline'.
As Okino's pain grew and her mutations showed her parents had begun spend most of their savings, even time taking her to different healers around town with no possible answer outside of simply medication to numb the pain.
To continue paying, granting Okino the 'medication' needed to be a 'normal' child, the parents soon joined their group with understanding, took a high-paying, equally dangerous job through the fog. This, as well, was how they were never to be seen or heard again..
With this, and being only seven years old at this point, she was left in the care of the cranky 'family' friend, grew up helping during the days and finding ways to deal with her pain, but in the worst times, falling back to the old ways.
Under Old Man Windsor, the coming years turned into literature training, helping around the home, and even going out to pick up groceries when asked by the many shops, even sneaking a few coins to use on a delicious treat from Hazel Hammie's Bakery, and or training at times, using her odd but painful adaptations for dives into the waterway. It was her daily lifestyle, one of peace for her.
Peace yet still never lasts, months after her 24th birthday, her current 'family' had suffered once more and passed on. She fell back into the street life, using the knowledge she had to survive, as much as that ended with her most days fishing and or gambling what little she held, turning into a comfort of sorts.
