There are no formal records of Kal's existence; he does not even use his name, or face, if he can help it. The only one who knows his history, is himself.

Kal was born to the Changeling couple Kozi and Lek. Both are dead. Kal does not know how, or why, just a guard delivering notice of their death when he was young.

Kal had always been a resourceful kid. At a young age, he was interested in learning magick. Even while his parents were alive, he spent most of his spare time and what little allowance he had to pore over tomes of arcane lore. When his parents died, he decided to turn this skill as a way to earn money... in a less than scrupulous manner. He fell into the criminal circuits, becoming a bit of a sell-spell. At this point in time, he stopped using his true identity, instead using a variety of aliases and covers. Beneath all the aliases and the black market magick is still the young man who wants to do good. He just... Has to compromise for survival.

Over time, he fell into the snare of necromancy; believing he could bring back everyone who died if he just... figured it out.

Lately, Kal's main alias has been Rune, an elven scholar.
