Vesper and her twin, Alaya, don't have memories of their parents. The pair were given over to the orphanage at a young age, and this is where they were raised. Vesper was not like her twin. She was always brash and never really followed the rules, always sneaking out and landing her in trouble, which her soft-spoken sister always tried to get her out of.
In her early years, Vesper always showed a love for fighting. Most of her time spent sneaking out was spent watching people fight in the arena and copying their moves. She mostly learned from her adventures when she was sneaking out, and even made friends with some other local kids. Sometimes she even convinced Alaya to come with her so she would not be stuck in the temple for all her life.
In one of their outings, as they were playing scouts with the other kids, in which Vesper played the role of the big scary monster, she spotted a thug watching the kids from a distance. A gut feeling was telling Vesper that that person was no good, and so she thought she should go and scare him away. It did not end well, as the thug was not scared of a child and threw Vesper straight to a nearby wall, with a loud crack echoing in Vesper's head. All she could focus on at that moment was the pain and the sound she made when she hit the wall, but then she watched her sister calmly walking to the thug and using magic, she would just almost destroy the thug's leg. The last thing she remembers before passing out would be the thug's shouts about revenge and the other kids running away scared.
After the following years, Vesper would spend most of her time helping her sister go to the temple. this is when she found an interest in the library, specifically in books focusing on the anatomy of various things. That is when she started to learn how to fuse her punches and kicks with the knowledge from the book for extra-strong punches.
