Appearance:
Tall, imposing, and toned, Morrigan visibly wears the sharp, steel eyes and hunger of a hunter, the refined behavior and tongue of nobility, and the otherworldly aura and appearance of a Fae. These combine to give her the air of a terrifying figure, ominous and dangerous. Wizened gray hair, long and ethereal frames her battle scared face, with two silver moons piercing from darkened eyes, her clothes are muted and dark, both practical and fashionable, pouches for her equipment on her legs, and heeled boots serving as footwear for her unusual and powerful hind legs. She is never found without her blackened gray furred coat, durable, singed with ash, and clearly ancient, it is her most iconic feature that is never far from her form, a strange chill emanating from it.
Public Character Knowledge:
There are rumors of a strange figure around town, some have called her a witch, others a hag, yet others say she has even darker origins. All know her by the Ash clinging to her coat.
Child of three queens, the dark Fae was born from a Elven sire and the barren womb of a witch, the heir to the Dark Powers of her forefather. Cursed from birth, she was taken to be raised by her Matron, whom became her patron and mentor in surviving a world so hostile to her unique nature, and so given the name Morrigan by the Lady of Fate.
Raised amongst the Shadar-Kai, in her queen's name she became an adept hunter of the umbral creatures within the Shadowfell, destroying it's many undead monstrosities, and seeking the plane's dark secrets for her goddess. Her duty was to be the sentinel, watching as her mother's dying homeland fell deeper into ruin and decay...
One sought to end the eternal torment of her people. Though far from the first to try, her efforts found herself in a foolish attempt to control powers beyond her.
Morrigan watched as her kin became yet another prisoner, and so she resolved to intervene and see her land, her family, and her people freed from perpetual torment. Cycles came and passed, the wheel spun and turned, and the story ended and began again.
However... One day, everything changed, and Morrigan was left to wander the planes beyond, her memory having become a fog, she now hunts worthy prey and seeks secrets beyond her home, driven by purpose to the land of Underhaven... For what reason, is unclear.
