Hello, name's Ace (well, not really, but you can call me that). I'm still generally new to DM-ing, so take it easy on me.
My quests tend to be safe for the players, with minimal risks of death and several contingency plans for if something does down you. Other than that, it tends to revolve around my NPC's storyline.
Rule of Cool and RP/flavor-based skills are definitely a thing in my quests to an extent. And if you feel like your build isn't doing much for the quest, I'm open to changing the rules slightly. I want people to have fun in my quests, not sit there doing nothing because your build needs a specific trigger for it to happen.
Drawing Aggro is very much a thing I use in my quests. You do something to draw aggro of someone in RP, and it will carry over to combat. Example, Blake is aggroed to Asami in the sparring matches for the foreseeable future. Tanks, make use of this. Squishies... try not to piss anyone off.
