Rimvar Rimehammer is a dwarven warrior, master smith, and lifelong adventurer who was raised among frost giants after being abandoned in the mountains as a child. That upbringing shaped him into a stubborn, practical survivor who values strength, craftsmanship, loyalty, and keeping your word. He tends to come across as an immovable wall: quiet, confident, difficult to intimidate, and usually more interested in solving a problem than talking about how impressive he is.
Underneath that exterior, Rimvar is deeply protective and surprisingly compassionate. He has a habit of putting himself between danger and everyone else, even when taking the hit is the objectively stupid option. He enjoys smithing, engineering, good food, friendly competition, and dry humor, and he tends to show affection by doing things for people rather than talking about his feelings. His signature weapon is Frostgrip, a frost-themed hammer that has accompanied him through much of his life and can be treated as anything from an ordinary heirloom weapon to a sentient artifact depending on the campaign.
The important part of Rimvar isn't that he's supposed to be the strongest person in the room. He's an experienced, stubborn craftsman-warrior who wants to build things worth leaving behind, protect the people he cares about, and find worthy challenges along the way. I'm completely fine adapting his history, power level, equipment, and planar adventures to fit the campaign rather than expecting the setting to accommodate all of his existing lore.
