Backstory
Aurora's name was once sung throughout the land, lauded as an up and coming violist, one of the better of her generation when she suddenly disappeared. She had been taken by a marid who wanted to see for themselves how true the extent of the human tales were. But, as she was still in training, and the abruptness of it, she failed to play without mistakes. Though her heart rang true through the music and impressed the marid, he was still disappointed, thinking this a failure of human teaching. So he sent her away to the efreetis for training. Her performance improved slightly, but she was still very nervous being in a new place. The efreetis decided that perhaps the Djinn may help her feel more welcome. With the Djinn. Though she found that she liked dancing with swords almost as much as performance and thus her attention was split. But she still worked hard at both. With the Dao, she made friends and laughed many times at their humor. Though she did commit time to the viol. Finally, she was sent back to the Marid, and though she wasn't an expert, she played and danced as she played with a smile on her face. Not stopping at the mistakes, but rather continuing them and enveloping them into the song. At first the Marid was angry. All this time spent training and she still makes mistakes on a song. But then it relented as she had played a beautifully different song. It sent an essence of itself, a young marid with her to experience the human's world. Though the material plane Aurora returned to was a little different than before.
Character Description:
Aurora has deep dark skin that catches the light softly, as well as dark hair that is usually pulled back in a loose, practical, yet mostly useless tie. Her hair has a mind of its own and never quite stays in place. When she smiles, and she often does, her violet eyes shine as if looking for more delightful things in the world to smile about. She wears simple green traveler's clothes, chosen for comfort and ease of movement. Over them rests a robe. Grains of sand cling to it and smooth pebbles nestle in its fold. The whole thing is brown, as if the color of dirt. Though the color and density seems to shift subtly as she moves. Though never as anyone is watching.
Personality quirks:
A bit of an airhead, though absolutely sure of herself. Tends to take people at face value and tries to bring more happiness to the world whether through song, dance or tales (Not a bard, but that's not specific to being a bard). Maybe a tad too trusting.
