Hailing from the world of Eberron, Vivian d'Orien is an heir of House Orien, one of Khorvaire's dragonmarked houses. Bearing the Mark of Passage, many expectations have been placed on her ever since she passed the Test of Siberys, especially after the discovery of the world between worlds that was Altharion. With the intention of establishing a secure route between Altharion's Thaloryn and Eberron's Khorvaire before House Lyrandar could catch wind of it, several heirs from the Courier Guild such as Vivian have been tasked with testing the established prototype route by delivering packages requested by clients from within Altharion.
