Seeking some excitement and an escape from the drudgery of a proper civilian life, Stefani had signed up and joined a monster hunting guild. She served well and came to be known as a dependable member. They took on whatever work they could get or needed doing, though all of it was just to bring themselves closer to a dragon that the captain sought to kill.

One day, they found it. On that day, many of them perished.

Stefani escaped, seeing how recklessly the captain sacrificed their lives just for a shot at the dragon's heart. She wasn't there long enough to know if her allies staked the beast or were swallowed whole, and she's afraid to find out.

Since then, Stefani continued to take up monster hunting. She's done it for almost a decade now, and she can't imagine living any other way. Even so, she swears that things will be different this time.
