Ssenna is a woman of above average height, standing about five feet and eight inches, with tan skin and soft features. Her most striking feature are her eyes, almond shaped, amber colored things with a serpents iris, set into a deep and intense gaze. By all conventional accounts the woman is quite attractive but she hardly recognizes it as her beauty standards are mostly based on conventional Yuan-Ti standards. She has dark hair, a deep slate, blackish color with a few grey streaks betraying her age. Ssenna is quite meticulous about her appearance, her youthful look a result of her care and Yuan-Ti blood. She sheds her skin once a month, seemingly peeling away the years as she does which is what contributes to seemingly youthful appearance.

Personality wise, Ssenna is hollow on the inside. While adopting aliases she tends to modify her persona to fit with the identity but it is all a cover. When she is Tanith she seems as conventional as any other person her age, few hobbies, no notable features other than her preference for long-sleeved sweaters that cover her neck and a good book. Ssenna herself, struggles mentally, not having adequate time to cope with the loss of her family either of them. She was already quite damaged before encountering the Yuan-Ti sect, then she slowly began to heal meeting her partner and having her children, but as that was taken from her something fractured. Now it is uncertain as to whether she does the job to distract her mind, or if she is too damaged to care about the lives she takes.
