Backstory: He grew up in a prestigious (adoptive) family along with his sister, they loved playing around with his sister and doing anything creative including art and primarily inventing contraptions to prank his sister and studying machinery to clench his thirst for knowledge, but his family were known for their contributions to the research of magic and his parents only had had children to continue their research and their legacy, he never was interested in magic though, it bored him but he learnt a bit because of his parents forcing him,
One day while studying a mechanism his now master noticed his curiosity and interest so she divided to make him her apprentice, but his parents would never allow him to study under him do he would sneak out of the house to attend the lessons, he was learning extremely quickly
One day his parents found out and kicked him out leaving him with nothing but the clothes on his bag, when he went to speak with his master, she explained how his family threatened her to stop teaching him her techniques and the best she could do is give him a few supplies (his artificer starting items)
For a months he survived by using his charms, spells and smooth movement to pickpocket rich people until he decided to make a living from adventuring in hopes that one day he might be able to speak with his sister again
