Backstory: A scion of House Mithgard, old money elves that could trace their lineage as far back as Fjallheim's roots extended. Being that her home city was a bastion of magic and magical progress it was no surprise that the already gifted girl took to her studies without much protest. She forewent traditional politics and instead gave up a lot of her privilege to join the Vetr College, a closed-schooling system with some level of secrecy (and, by proxy, infamy).
Politics was politics though and, even in the quiet halls of the Vetr, she was unable to escape the manoeuvring and manipulation she had thought she left behind in pursuit of academic greatness. Wanting to spread her wings and expand on her studies without external interference the elf stepped back from the professorial path she'd been heading down to instead go somewhere foreign and far: Verdalis. Here, she would hopefully be free of the tiresome politicking that had gotten in the way of many a research project.
