Backstory: Regnabo
Daxor, a king without name and a kingdom forgotten as a myth.
Under a constellation and with a twin, Daxor would be born with a prophecy under their names; one of the twins would bring a calamity of unforeseen destruction and chaos with his greed and ambition, while the other would bring prosperity and peace like no one could ever dream of. They were the kids of the king, who, fearful of any possible outcome, would send them away to one of their many oppressed villages.
Despite the possible grim start, the twins would grow like heroes of the lands, having skills on both diplomacy and adventuring. Their names would quickly grow, and with them, the spark of revolution that had been suppressed many years ago; the word quickly spread, and with it, the fear of the tyrant king continued to rise. As a result, a whole military platoon would be sent to the village with the twins, all with the purpose of capturing and killing them on a display of the crown’s power- but the twins would stand prepared for the raid.
With martial prowess and commanding skill, the twins would stand victorious along with the many others that had helped them repel the attack. It was clear, they had the power to fight back and establish a fair and righteous empire, so that’s what they would do! With multiple battles and assaults, the twins would quickly take more control of the territory, and with the support of almost all of the population, their victory was confirmed.
…But it wouldn’t be enough for Daxor. He was equally as good as his brother, yet there seemed to be something so bright about him that Daxor would feel outshined, like a shadow of what his brother was. Could it be his compassion? His genuine interest in the people? While Daxor did this movement because of the hate towards the crown and his hunger for power, his brother did it to free the oppressed and give everyone a fair chance to live; these grim feelings would grow with each campaign that they did, eventually turning into hate… Regno
On their final assault to the main castle, the twins and their armies would face the strongest of troops so far, yet their victory couldn’t be denied at this stage, for all that was left was the crown. Daxor, reckless and filled with hate (both towards his brother and the king), would try to outshine them all and be the one to take the king’s head; so with one of his Dystopia’s, Daxor aimed to pierce the king’s heart-
Their father, the king, knew who they truly were, his sons, and with that, his possessions; which would allow him to use the piece of armor known as the KINGMAKER to swap places with the twin- Daxor had enough time of reaction to redirect the spear, to stop it, to avoid the death of his brother… but he wouldn’t. His hunger for power and rage had blinded him, and the cost was the only person that truly knew him and loved him for who he was.
Blaming the king for those, Daxor would kill him and showcase his floating body pierced with his spears towards his followers. The tyranny was over, and he was the one to wear the KINGMAKER now. Regnavi
During his reign, Daxor was seen by the public with love and admiration; the lands had never been so fruitful, the health of the population had a massive increase, and poverty seemed to have been eradicated. While it was tragic and worth making stories about, the brother of his twin was told and accepted as him sacrificing himself to save his brother; it was far from being the truth, and it would haunt Daxor every day of his life.
And how did everything change so much so quickly? PACTS. In contrast to his brother, who was a shining knight in all meanings of the title, Daxor had specialized on pacts, whether it was to draw power for himself or good things for his kingdom and allies… but what was the fuel to such big things and changes that he had done?-
Criminals, war prisoners and slaves would be the main fuel for this. On the inside, his kingdom was one of prosperity and peace, almost an utopia for anybody to live in, the condition to be a resident? To give the ownership of your life to the King. Neighbor kingdoms would suffer and fear the constant invasions and war assaults from Babilonia (The kingdom of Daxor); those who dared to oppose him would suffer bloody fates like the stake, thing that inspired many soldiers and population from enemy kingdoms to flee from them and join Babilonia in hopes of having a better life and fate.
Even when everything seemed to be good and there was little more to improve, Daxor would continue to feel like it wasn’t enough. Lands and power started to feel meaningless, the population just started to feel like sandbags to carry around and protect, was there nothing for him in life? Those thoughts were the roots of his upcoming downfall. Sum Sine Regno
As his ambitions and greed continued to grow, so would his contact with creatures from the planes below and of darker nature. They were the easiest to contact and please, as most gods didn’t seem interested in blood sacrifices and death.
To continue his reign, Daxor would seek to extend his lifetime with the sacrifices of others in the name of demons; while it worked, it would slowly corrupt his physical appearance and change him. He would no longer go out to political meetings or ceremonies of the kingdom; his campaigns would halt and so would the acquisition of new sacrifice material.
Eventually, a demon invasion would occur, one of the greatest recorded in history. Daxor would try to lead his forces to repel this invasion and gain the favor of the gods (and perhaps with it, some blessings from them). But they ignored him; no matter how much he barked, how much sacrificed, nothing was good enough to get their attention, and then- A mortal given blessings of power like no one had seen before? A saint. That’s what he needed, power, the power of saints and above.
Close to the ending of the demon invasion, Daxor would betray the forces of the Saint- Not to help the demons, but to take his spotlight and favor of the gods:
“MY KINGDOM, MY SERVANTS, MY BODY AND SOUL, ISN’T THAT ENOUGH TO BE GIVEN DIVINITY?!?! THERE HAS BEEN NO KING LIKE ME, THERE HAS BEEN NO MAN WITH MORE WORTH THAN ME… YET YOU DARE TO IGNORE ME?!? I COMMAND DIVINITY, FOR MY PRESENCE IS ON YOUR LEVEL IF NOT HIGHER!!!” And with that final act of insolence, Daxor and his whole empire would be punished. Babilonia would be swallowed whole by the armies of hell and dragged to the deepest pits of it along with Daxor. His kingdom and him cursed to be forgotten in history and only remembered as a myth, for the biggest pride of Daxor was his power and known presence in the world.
800 years of torture and change in the underworld, he had been transformed and changed, yet his hate and ambition would help him to remain sane and continue to seek divinity and power on the world. Not the power of the brutes and barbarians, but the power to command them all.
During his stay in hell, he met different demons, some which he had already known from previous pacts. Eventually, he would manage to make a bargain to escape (straight up a scam), so now, 800 years later, Daxor emerges in a new realm with ambitions to fulfill and a Kingdom to make
