A half-elf raised by his fully elven half-sister. He eventually realized how vastly different their respective lifespans were, and decided to leave her care and set off on his own so she wouldn't be faced with the eventuality of having to watch him wither and die. This choice, however, ended up leading to a far worse fate for both of them. He now leads a life plagued by guilt and grief, and his personal freedom appears to be contested both by the hexblade patron he made a pact with, and the elemental entity that granted his bloodline its sorcerer abilities so many years ago.
In terms of appearance, he's almost never seen without a grey hood hanging low over his face, obscuring some his more notable features, like the strange indigo markings above his left brow, or his somewhat pointed ears. Long ashen grey hair cascade down beneath the hood's hem to frame the pronounced cheekbones and jawline of a decidedly gaunt face, which is more often than not frozen in an expression of morose impassivity.
In regards to his personality, Lei is a book you can more or less judge by his cover, as his social inclinations lean towards reticent at best, and he is rarely if ever one to start a conversation. This isn't necessarily to say he's miserly or anti-social, however, as he's typically polite enough to the people around him, and is willing to answer most questions directed at him so long as he feels it doesn't compromise his wellbeing. He also has a preference of using his words to defuse tense situations before resorting to his blade, and will be as loquacious as he needs to be if it ensures the safety of himself and those he considers allies.
