Back in the day, Rashef was a guardian of his people, the Subeks. Wielding weapons and ancient magics granted to him by their gods, he made sure his people were safe. But even the strongest fighters can't win against one enemy, time itself. His life drew to an end, so he was entombed in a crypt. Mummified to be preserved. Many years later, the once great civilization fell and turned into ruins that adventurers and grave robbers visit for the prospect of valuables. One such grave robber opened Rashef's chamber and started to steal some of the offerings left in there. Such a blatant act of disrespect and grave robbing has awoken Rashef from his ancient slumber. Now partially rotten, especially in the face, and with no weapons, he still was a large and imposing figure. He didn't have any weaponry, but in his rage he picked up his own sarcophagus and slammed it against the thief. A short fight indeed. Some water started to run out of his sarcophagus, and as he tried to open it, he found himself too weak. His righteous anger eventually gave him enough strength to open it as he found healing waters to run out. It seems his gods still looked kindly upon him and gifted him with the healing waters of Sobek. He knew then he couldn't just remain here. He would wander out into the world and do what he could. Even in his undead state, kept together by the healing waters. He would fight against evil and protect the weak. He hopes that their dark gods will show mercy on such people, for he will show none.

Rashef is an anthropomorphic crocodile man with mummification bandages and a coffin on his back that he uses as a bludgeoning instrument in a battle (reflavored Maul and the healing waters are the world tree barbarian features reflavored). His body shows signs of decay but is mostly intact except for his face, which has rotted away to his skull. Glowing eyes are a sign that he is still alive.
