Obsidian, Otherwise known as Mt. Black Rock aka Molly, is a rather intelligent mind that has laid dormant within the depths of a volcano for many years. She truly was barely considered alive, only known as living for her vile hatred of human kind; erupting and destroying village after village that would rise up near her surface. Her anger grew so powerful she would decimate livelihood after livelihood. Until one day a cleric and a shaman would approach her peak and would attempt to appease her, tossing in offerings and begging to know what it was that made her so upset that she would lash out in such a way.

Appeased by this if only for a moment she would relent her anger towards the mortal race screaming that they had it so good, better than anything she had ever seen yet they would so wastefully squander it. In the midst of her speech she grew outraged once more, lava reaching towards the tips of her peaks threatening to once again destroy the village below. In a last ditch effort the Shaman begged her to see the world through their eyes, to walk on their land in a hopes to quell her anger. Thus the lava ceased and she walked as humans did, wandered as they did.

She would task herself with seeing the beauty of the world and keeping her anger in check, thus she found herself a member of a scholarly group before setting out on her own. She found a fascination with the idea of machinery and would tinker relentlessly with them bearing her own machine she called Magnus. Now She wanders hoping to see the beauty of the world she once so angrily scorched.
