Tl;dr: Sentient plushie is going on a journey to recover their lost memories and their original name after getting tired of constantly healing their magic teacher who thinks fireball is a good construction spell.

Backstory: Courier was always sentient at least they think they were. They have flashes of memories they recall but most of the details are missing in them. They can see a priest with golden hair and hear a soft voice, but the words muffled, like being underwater.

A child and dog run past, their forms growing until their strength is known all over. A monster meets them head on but before it perishes it roars with rage and swipes at Courier with something sharp. Suddenly they are being carried away, their body getting heavy and cold, everything is getting dark. The hero and the dog seem to call out, but their words and barks are to, muffled by the sound of a unstoppable river.

The clear memories are of a wizard, their voice was all Courier heard, but that voice gave them a name​​​, although it sometimes feels incorrect, did they already have a name? After witnessing the wizard explode her tower for the umpteenth time and restoring her back to health, Courier made the decision to travel to find the truth in these memories.

When did all of these events happen? Who were those people? Is that monster still out there, is it still alive? What was their name? Did they even have one? All they know is they won't lose anymore memories, they will never forget anyone or anything ever again.
