Type of Quest: Rescue mission

You heard rumors that the mayor of a small town called Mirfield is looking for brave adventurers. Somebody mentioned that his baby has vanished yesterday. Maybe it would be worth it to head over and find out if you can be of assistance?

This is my first quest as a DM, so please expect that timing and balancing may be off - you are invited to provide feedback.

Table Rules:

• Prebuffs - Any amount of 8h+ spells, one of which costs no resources
• Potions - Drinking a potion is a bonus action, feeding it to somebody else is an action
• Flanking - None, unless specified for the quest
• PvP - Any activities directed against another player character require the consent of both players and the DM
• Trigger warnings - Please let me know any themes you would like to avoid (e.g. spiders or abductions) so I can modify the quest if possible
• Keep things moving - Please plan your turn and complete it within 5 minutes, otherwise your character will only take the dodge action
• Rule of cool - I may allow things that are not covered by the rules if they improve the story - just this once
• Checks - Please describe what you are trying to do, I will let you know which ability check is required
